The nesting compartments are well sized for a comfortable fit for medium to large hens and each box can host up to twenty hens. The egg box basket trays have ventilation holes to allow debris to fall through, these trays can also be removed making cleaning your nesting box easier. The intentional design of this nesting box has the trays slant forward slightly creating the roll away effect. This encourages the eggs to roll forward slowly so that they are safely underneath the lid where they remain until collection. The great feature of this chicken nesting box is that the metal lid is one complete lid so you can open and expose the trays to access all the eggs at once.
