The panels and roof are made of galvanized steel for a stable and durable structure when assembled and the trays and lids are made with plastic that won't rust, rot or corrode. These are designed to last. The nesting compartments are well sized for a comfortable fit for medium to large hens and each individual box can host up to four hens. The egg box basket trays have ventilation holes to allow debris to fall through, keeping them as clean as possible. Additionally, they can be removed to make the cleaning process even easier. The intentional design means the nesting box trays slant forward slightly when mounted to allow the eggs to roll forward slowly where they are safely hidden under the lid until collection. The classic design uses lids with perches to allow a space for your hens to perch and rest.
